Healthy Kids Running Series Reviews

Overall, the messages were clear and easy to follow. They did come through a little slowly here and there, but i might just be impatient when I’m trying to get things done. Nothing major, though.

We signed up for the Healthy Kids Running Series after a friend recommended it, and the location ended up being really convenient for us. Parking was close by, so we didn’t have to trek across a huge lot with the kids, which made the whole morning easier.
The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the entrance area got a little crowded during check-in. But overall, it was easy to find, simple to manage, and worked well for our family.

I’ll be honest, my first impression was that it just didn’t have much of a community feel. I liked the idea going in, but the whole thing felt a bit rushed, and parents weren’t really pulled into it much. The kids still had fun, so it wasn’t a total miss, but I was expecting more local support and a stronger sense of connection.

My kids had a good time because the races were actually set up for their ages and weren’t too long or confusing. Even my youngest could join in and feel proud, which was really nice. I will say, some parts felt a bit repetitive after a while, like the same kind of complaints kept coming up from the kids about waiting, waiting, and more waiting. Still, overall it was a nice setup and they enjoyed it.

My kid had a good time during the running part, and he liked seeing all the other kids out there. But yeah, the waiting around in between kind of lost him quickly. The races themselves are short, which is nice for younger kids, but I do wish there was a little more going on to keep them busy between events. It wasn’t a bad experience at all, just sort of hit or miss for us. He might give it another try, but he wasn’t exactly pumped about it afterward.

We’ve had such a nice experience with Healthy Kids Running Series. My son isn’t the fastest kid out there, and he can get nervous before things like this, so I wasn’t totally sure how he’d feel about it at first. But from the very beginning, it felt really welcoming and relaxed. No one made him feel like he didn’t belong or like he had to be one of the top runners to matter. The coaches, the other parents, and even the kids were cheering everyone on, not just the ones crossing the finish line first. That made a huge difference for him, and for me too. It just felt positive, low-pressure, and genuinely fun, which is exactly what I was hoping for. We’re definitely planning to come back next season...

We had such a great time at the Healthy Kids Running Series. The other parents were super friendly, and the whole atmosphere felt relaxed and welcoming. My kids felt comfortable right away, which really helped build their confidence and made the experience even more fun. It’s a really nice, positive family event all around.

I really liked the idea of the event and could see how much potential it had. That said, check-in was messy and things seemed to start late, which made the whole experience feel a bit unorganized. Once it got going, though, there were still some fun moments, and I’d probably give it another shot if the logistics were smoother next time.

They did a good job handling the rain cancellation and got an email out to us quickly. I do wish the makeup time had been sooner, but overall it wasn’t a big deal and everything worked out fine

My kids were so excited about the shirts and all the little race goodies. The medals were actually nicer than I expected too, which was a fun surprise. One of the shirts fit a little off size-wise, but the awards and swag overall were really solid!

The schedule has been really easy to work into our weekends. I can’t totally explain it, but it just feels like a good fit for our family every week...

I signed my kids up, it ended up being a really good value. My sister came to watch one of the races with us, and even she commented on how well organized everything was. The kids got to run around, have fun, and they were so proud of themselves afterward. Compared to a lot of other activities for kids, the price felt totally reasonable. We’ll probably sign up again next season...

Signing up on Healthy Kids Running Series was mostly fine — not terrible or anything, but it did take me a bit to figure out which local race page I was supposed to use. Some parts were straightforward, then other parts had me clicking around more than I expected.

The payment went through without any issues, and I got the confirmation email afterward, so that part was reassuring. I just wish the registration steps were a little clearer, especially for first-time parents trying to get everything done quickly.

Just a heads-up for other parents: the course was generally set up really well and was easy enough for the kids to follow. It felt safe and organized overall, which I appreciated. That said, a few of the turns could definitely use better signage, so keep an eye out if your child is running it for the first time. Still a nice setup for a weekend run

I’m always a little worried about being fooled by places that say kids are supervised but don’t really follow through. This time, though, it genuinely felt like the kids were being watched and kept safe, which made me feel a lot more comfortable.

The timing was spot on for my kid’s races, and once the results finally posted, everything matched up with what we saw. I checked the bib numbers and placements, and it was all correct. I just wish the wait for results wasn’t so annoying sometimes, especially when everyone’s standing around eager to see how they did. Still, it does make the series feel easy to trust.

The volunteers were really helpful and the staff handled things okay, but I expected the overall experience to feel a little more organized. Everyone was nice enough, so I appreciated that, but I still left feeling a bit disappointed
